Sustainability

Responsibility has always been part of how we conduct business.

Today, we strengthen that commitment through responsible sourcing, environmental accountability and the advancement

of people and communities across our value chain.

our approach

PEOPLE & Practices

As a signatory to the UN Women’s Empowerment Principles, we are committed to advancing gender equality and opportunity across the workplace, marketplace and community.

Our business practices are also guided by the Ten Principles of the United Nations Global Compact, encompassing human rights, fair labour practices, environmental responsibility and anti-corruption.

RESOURCE EFFICIENCY

We align procurement closely with customer requirements, helping to minimise prolonged inventory storage

and product waste.

Sustainable packaging options are also available, allowing us to consider resource efficiency from product to pack while maintaining the quality and protection required for international trade.

RESPONSIBLE SOURCING

We work with carefully selected sources operating under recognised international standards and responsible sourcing frameworks, including Rainforest Alliance, the Ethical Tea Partnership and ISO 14064-1 greenhouse gas inventory verification.

Our approach supports greater environmental and social responsibility throughout the supply chain.

SKILLED LABOUR

From the careful peeling and rolling of cinnamon to the selective harvesting of tea and spices, skilled hands remain integral to quality. Through the products we trade, we support supply chains that sustain specialist knowledge, craftsmanship and livelihoods across generations.

LAND & ORIGIN

The character of Ceylon’s tea, spices and other agricultural produce begins with the land itself. We favour responsible sources and recognised environmental practices that contribute to protecting the landscapes and agricultural systems on which our trade depends.
