For more than five decades, Seven Seas Holdings Ceylon has traded coffee and cocoa beans from Sri Lanka to international markets. By the early 1980s, our late founder, V. P. Rajan, was instrumental in advancing Sri Lanka's coffee exports, working with the Chambers of Commerce in Colombo and London to initiate the process that established Sri Lanka’s International Coffee Organization Certificate of Origin. The resulting approval opened the way for an initial 5,000 metric tonnes of coffee exports for the country, with Seven Seas subsequently exporting approximately 1,000 metric tonnes annually at the time.

Today, we draw on this longstanding experience to supply carefully sourced Ceylon Arabica and Robusta green coffee beans, alongside cocoa beans, for international markets. Our understanding extends from origin, grades and individual characteristics to the quality specifications and commercial requirements of international buyers. From source to shipment, consistent quality, dependable supply and competitive pricing remain fundamental to our approach.
